Terms of sale
These are the terms of buying from this studio: original paintings, and prints and artwear made from Alvir Art designs.

- Who you are buying from
- Every piece in this store is sold directly by Alvir Art, an independent artist working in Austin, Texas. Questions about an order reach the person who made the work.
- Original paintings
- An original is one of one: acrylic and mixed media on stretched canvas, signed and dated by hand, issued with a certificate of authenticity written for that piece specifically. It is never painted twice. Whether an original is also offered as a print is stated on its own page, and what that page says is part of the sale.
- Prints and artwear
- Prints, posters and clothing are reproductions of Alvir Art designs, not originals. They are made to order by our production partner, Printful, and shipped from their facilities. Sizes, materials and care are listed on each product page.
- Prices, shipping and payment
- Prices are in US dollars. Shipping is charged on every order and is shown at checkout, before you pay. Payment is taken through Shopify's secure checkout, which handles the card directly — the studio never sees or stores your card number. Your order is confirmed when the payment is confirmed, not when the checkout page closes.
- One of one, and what happens if two people buy it
- A single original cannot be sold twice. If two orders for the same original arrive within moments of each other, the first completed payment holds and the second is refunded in full, immediately and without being asked.
- When it ships
- Originals leave the studio in Austin within 5 business days and ship within the United States. Prints and artwear are produced after you order and then shipped by Printful, worldwide. The full detail is on the Delivery & returns page, and those terms form part of this agreement.
- Returns
- An original is not returnable for a change of mind, and neither are prints and artwear, which are made for you when you order. Anything that arrives damaged, misprinted or not as described is put right at no cost to you. How, and within what time, is on the Delivery & returns page.
- What the sale does not include
- Buying a painting or a print gives you the object. It does not transfer the copyright, which stays with the artist. What you can and cannot do with the image is set out on the Copyright page, in plain words.
- Governing law
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. If something goes wrong, write to the studio first: a studio this size fixes problems faster than a court does.
